Nick is developing an applied research and extension program in organic vegetable production at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center (NWREC) in Aurora. We are in the process of transitioning about 3.5 acres at NWREC to organic production.

Nick is a member of the OSU Statewide Small Farms Extension team. The team concentrates on small farm production and viability with a nonexclusive focus on organic and other niche-production strategies. Our team currently consists of five agents located in Western Oregon. Our website provides extensive information for small farmers: http://smallfarms.oregonstate.edu/. Oregon Small Farm News, our Statewide Small Farm Newsletter, was launched in fall 2006.
